From new construction to Sidney driveways
I learned concrete on new construction sites, pouring footings, slabs and flatwork, the driveways and walks that lie flat on the ground, for houses nobody lived in yet. There was no lawn to protect and nobody needing the driveway in the morning. In 2023 I started Sidney Concrete because I wanted to do that same careful work at homes where families already live.
Today we're best known for driveways, patios, steps and foundation work at existing homes. Most of our calls come from homeowners in Sidney and the cities around it, and some come from owners of small commercial properties. At your house there's a yard, a garden and a daily routine around the job, and I care most about treating that with respect, so the only change you notice when we leave is the new concrete. To me, a good job drains well, stays put and still looks right long after we've gone.

How we run a job at your house
I look at every job myself and check where the water runs, so the new slab falls away from your house. We dig out and pack the subgrade, the ground the slab sits on, because a base that's only raked level settles with the dirt. I work alongside our crew on the forming, pouring and finishing, then we cut control joints, grooves that give cracks a planned place to go, and clean up before we leave.
Before we schedule anything, we check which office covers your address and tell you what it asks for. Inside Sidney that's the city, and outside the city limits it's usually the county building department. If a permit is needed, we handle the application or help with the parts that need your signature. Along the way, I'll tell you what's happening next, so you aren't left guessing.
